Q&A: About Practice and Assessment Questions

Follow

Q: What is the difference between the practice questions and assessment (real) questions?

A: The practice questions stage allows you to get familiar with the Kira platform and to double check your device setup is good to go! There are some key differences between practice questions and assessment questions:

-During practice, you can go through questions as many times as you'd like, during the actual assessment you will have one chance per question.

-During practice, you will be able to playback responses, during the actual assessment you will not be able to replay responses.

-Your reviewers will not be able to see anything you record during your practice responses.

-The practice questions may or may not be related to the real assessment questions so keep this in mind.

-The preparation and response time between questions may also vary.

Q: What is the difference between video and written questions?

A: A video question can only be answered with a video response. During the video question, a pre-recorded video will play, and the associated text will be available for you to read on the screen throughout your preparation and response time.

A written question can only be answered with a written response. During the written question, the question text will be displayed without a pre-recorded video. There is also no preparation time for written responses.

You'll be notified of any video and written questions once you start either your practice and real assessment.

Q: How many times can I do my practice questions?

A: You can complete your practice questions as many times as you’d like! You can even leave the page and come back at a later time. Your reviewer will never know how many times you completed the practice questions, so feel free to practice twice, or 20 times!

Just make sure you complete your actual assessment before the deadline your organization has set for you.
